Parts Manager

Salary: £28,500 Basic Salary with £36,500 OTE

Permanent, Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota basis

We are looking for an experienced Parts Manager to join our prestige Land Rover Retailer in Pickering. You will be responsible for the control, sourcing and supply of vehicle parts to both internal and external customers to achieve parts profit and volume objectives.

You will be equally confident dealing with customers on the front counter as well as working behind the scenes making sure the right parts go out to the technicians on time.

You will:

  • Ensure the accurate identification and provision of customer’s needs by accurately ordering and monitoring stock levels from suppliers;
  • Ensure all required parts and additional accessories are offered to customers ensuring customer satisfaction;
  • Manage stock movement in the most effective and efficient way to maximise resources including stock replenishment, special orders and obsolete items;
  • Source additional parts from outside the Dealership using the appropriate search methods;
  • Support the accurate input of information into the Dealer Management System
  • Review customer satisfaction results and take appropriate action to increase them
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Regularly review key operating controls (negative stock reports, margin and volume performance)
  • Work with other Heads of Departments to develop business strategy

This is a customer-facing role; you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with a friendly and approachable manner.

You will be computer literate and obtain a full clean driving licence. Experience with Pinnacle would be an advantage however not essential as full training will be given.
