Reporting to a General Sales Manager, the successful candidate will have direct control and responsibility for the Used Car Department. The brief is to expand and grow the revenue and stock profile of this already highly profitable department. Over and above you will be involved in the performance and control of the new car department. With 10 sales executives and 2 Business Manager/Controllers, our aspiration is to retail circa 1400 new and used units combined in 2021. The Company philosophy is a simple one – we strive for happy customers and profit, in that order.
You should demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Proven experience managing a high achieving sales team
Commercial awareness and a good understanding of market trends & manufacturer initiatives
Experience working in a high volume fast paced environment
Experience working in a prestige retailer
Ability to Identify training and development needs within the team
Ability to develop a sales action plan and communicate targets effectively to the team
This role would be ideally suited to an experienced Sales Controller or Business Manager who is accustomed to the pressures of a high-volume environment whilst delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This is not a position for a strategist or an administrator. We require a highly involved manager who will be working in a customer facing environment, being an integral part of the sales process, whilst at the same time coaching and guiding the sales force to constantly greater heights.
