Jaguar F-Type SVR debuts at Geneva Motor Show

The latest Jaguar F-Type SVR made its global début at the Geneva Motor Show – the world’s premier automotive exhibition.

The world of motoring descended on the Swiss city of Geneva in early March for the annual Geneva Motor Show. The unveiling of the Jaguar F-Type SVR, which is capable of 200mph, was one of the highlights of the famed show.

The new Jaguar F-Type is the first Jaguar SVR and is lighter, faster and more powerful than previous F-Types. It has been developed to take advantage of the sports car’s full potential while still retaining its day-to-day usability.

As the fastest F-Type to date, it can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds and the Coupe will have a top speed of 200mph. Available as a Coupé or Convertible the all-wheel drive supercar benefits from an enhanced chassis, driverline and active aerodynamics.

“Our objective was to take everything that our customers love about F-TYPE – the performance, the handling, the sound, the design – and take it to a whole new level. This is what the new F-TYPE SVR delivers: it’s a 200mph all-weather supercar,” said John Edwards, Managing director, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations.

Other cars trotted out for the Geneva Motorshow include the Volvo V90 Estate, a roofless Range Rover Evoque and the Aston Martin DB11 will also have its world début. The Bugatti Chiron, the Veyron’s replacement, was also unveiled. Stating at an eye watering £1.6 million this wallet-wilting car grabbed many headlines.

The Geneva International Motor Show took place at the Palexpo Convention Centre next to Geneva Airport from 3-13 March.
