Welcome to the Autumn edition of Hatfields Torque. Edition 12

As the seasons change, so does Hatfields with some exciting new developments at our showrooms.

September saw the official opening of our brand new facility in Pickering. It’s a new style of showroom, designed to enhance your experience as a Land Rover customer and it was personally opened by Jeremy Hicks, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover UK. It is now the newest and most refined Land Rover experience in North Yorkshire. So call in and see for yourself if you are passing, we’d like to show you around.

I am also pleased to announce a new joint site for Land Rover and Jaguar in Shrewsbury. The new site will be near to Emstrey Island, adjacent to Shrewsbury Business Park. The new showroom will be one of Jaguar Land Rover’s new ‘Arch’ facilities, which sees a site sectioned into a 50:50 split of Jaguar and Land Rover, with one central reception desk. The new facilities and location have been designed with you in mind and we will keep you informed of the development.

You may have also seen press reports that Jaguar Land Rover models are to be electric or hybrid from 2020, starting with the new fully electric I-PACE being launched next year. The move will give you, our customers, greater choice alongside petrol and diesel engines.

Ralf Speth, JLR Chief Executive said “Petrol and diesel engines will continue. The internal combustion engine is not at an end. We have to do both. It’s quite clear that at the moment there are no better engines than the petrol and diesel”.

The announcement clearly shows that Jaguar Land Rover, as a leading British manufacturer, is at the forefront of an electric future.

Once again, thank you for your continued custom and for choosing Hatfields Land Rover.
