Jaguar’s highly anticipated new era has taken a major step forward, as the all-electric Type 01 made its first high-profile appearance at the 2026 Monaco Formula E event.

Marking a bold shift for the brand, the Type 01 is the first model in Jaguar’s next-generation line-up — a luxury electric grand tourer designed to reset expectations. The name itself reflects this new direction, with “01” symbolising both zero emissions and the beginning of a new chapter.

Beneath its dramatic design sits Jaguar’s new electric architecture, delivering around 986bhp from a three-motor setup, alongside a range of up to 435 miles. Performance is equally impressive, with 0–62mph expected in just over three seconds.

With a starting price expected from around £120,000, the Type 01 positions Jaguar into a more exclusive, design-led segment, with extensive personalisation options available.

Set for a full reveal later this year, the Type 01 represents a confident reimagining of what a modern Jaguar can be — striking, emotional, and unmistakably distinctive.
